The T-Maxx shocks had square holes at one time? Never knew that.

he probably means for the body posts... they went square recently, like the revo

yhea body posts they are all square now and none are round anymore. So traxxas is not making round body posts any longer. So I want to know for anyone who has the round ones how will we get any posts for the shock towers? Do we need to change frames to newer ones?

I've heard of people using plastic coat hangers and cutting them up to make body posts. I've never had a maxx so thats all i got

I once got some body posts for my Tmaxx that were anno blue and chrome, and the nub on top to clip the body on was spring mounted. Damn they were costly. On the very first rollover, an irreplacable spring snapped off. I went back to the plastic mount on the rear, and on the next rollover one broke in front. Expensive lesson learned.
ALWAYS keep 'soft' spots in these rigs. Something needs to be able to absorb impacts.
The body takes the worst beating and transfers it to the mounting posts.

the posts I was looking at that were aluminum or steel dont have springs on them. But I figured that rolling over would scratch them up and be more costley to keep replacing and the big thing is I want a weak point around my shock ttowers and I hope the posts are it. Or do you guys think I should get steel/alloy posts? And where can I get them? I found some but they are not tmaxx...what works with the tmaxx? And are most of you runninng roll bars?

I've got a lot of alloy on my Savvy, but NOT the body posts. I also left the rear skid stock to help take the shock out of a hard hit on the wheelie bar. Bulkheads also stayed stock.

so I should keep the body posts plastic and my upgrade my bulkheads to 3.3 and what else should I keep stock? And do you think my towers and roll bar are decent choices? Thanks
