i have an hpi rs4 2, and i have an hpi Novarossi 12 motor in it. i have a tuned pipe and header, but i need help on what the gear ratio should be. the reason is because i raced a new t-maxx 3.3 and did not win so what's up with that and any other tip will be useful

Race it on an on-road track and see what the outcome is. Your car is made for a road course and will out maneuver a MT hands down.

if so sounds like you need help tuning it...if it's used then get ready to learn alot about your car or hand over a buttload of cash to get it fixed by someone else.......

Yes.... tuning sounds like the problem. Its kind of sad that any onroad should loose to a tmaxx, even with the stock gear ratio.
