It will get better gas mileage probably. It's a better quality engine, ti will be more efficient. The Mach 26 is a thirsty engine.
 
Upgrade to the LST2 axles, it's going to snap the Aftershock CVD's like toothpicks.
 
Well, if it's anything like the LRP28, then you will loose a couple of minutes per tank compared to the M26SS.

As for the axles, I haven't had an issue with the smaller LST1/AS axles running the LRP. The LRP and picco are very similar in power output.
 
The Picco's are better quality than the LRP. I had an LRP too, they are SH based engines just like the Mach .26 is. All SH engines are fuel happy.
I'd bet money the Picco will get the same runtime or better once it gets past the 1 1/2 gallon mark.
My buddy's Aftershock could not even handle an Axial .28! The slipper was set to factory specs.
It snapped the CVD pins every race until he did the LST2 upgrade.
 
You'll like both, you really can't go wrong. The Picco will last longer though. Better quality parts in it.
