As an aviator, one gets used to finding unusual things on or around the aircraft when doing a preflight check. Here's one of four images recently e-mailed to me on a pre-flight find in Afghanistan:

Yes, that is a real live cobra. It made its way up into the area over one of the landing gear struts on this helicopter.

I gotta ask, was it a Cobra Helicopter??

No, it wasn't; but I was thinking along those lines as I posted this last night. It was on a medium lift helo kind of like the Shanook (SP?).

Yea, I didn't think the Cobras had those little round windows, but like I said, I had to ask!

It's a CH-47 Chinook or Shithook for the Army types. The Cobra is sitting on the fuel tank. Thanks for the pic Sky.
