VB is wrong this time...well sort of

In my case the rear diff had enough grease in it to lubricate the gears, the front diff and center diff were bone dry.

But, to his defense, there was suppossed to be grease in the diffs.

Just Razzin' Didn't want ya to get a swelled head VB;)

Nope, the Pro's have grease aswell. My Pro had grease in all three diffs.

The only difference in the diffs from the RR to the Pro is the Pro's have hardend gears. Everything else is the same.

well i just got mine on friday and raced on sunday and i think this thing is going to be fast when i am done with it but the first thing i did is get a different pipe and that made a major diff i will have to fill the diffs and shocks be4 next sundays race but i was curios what diff weights everyone uses in there truggys? thanx

The stock pipe is a knock off of the 086 pipe. Don't throw it away, if you need more top try it.

The stock pipe is ok, its pretty loud and does give decent top end. In my diffs I run 5,7,3K oils. Works for me.

Sorry bro, but I've got to call you on this one. My LS Pro (purchased this May when HB got their long-awaited shipment in stock), came silicone oil in all three diffs right out of the box. According to Andrew O'Bannon at Hot Bodies (a good friend of mine - I work right across the street from HPI/HB), the Pro's come with 1k/4k/1k silicone installed in the diffs whereas the RTS's come with grease.

Now maybe you've got an older production LSP, but all of the newer production ones are coming as described above. Perhaps HB changed the production specs on us? Also, RTR's shocks are now beilg filled with regular oil and the Pro's are getting assembled with #400 (equivelant to about 32-34wt) silicone oil.
