Hot Bodies Lightning Pro

it's from radiocontrolzone.com, but the damn thing is dead right now. There is a thread under misc vehicles just for the Lightning Pro and RR. The results are from some track in the huston, tx area. I know for a fact the winner is an OS engine that RZ or whatever the bad boy is. The guy in 4th place is running the stock mill.

I'll get you the link when the site comes back online.

EDIT:

http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90416&perpage=25&pagenumber=48

page number 48, half way down you see k_bojar posting these results. If you read the whole thread these guys are from Huston, TX and you will read when SlamminSam bought his new engine and stuff.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is a club race with someone posting some so called "results" that we can not find out if they are valid. Things like that I just dont trust sorry. I could just as easily post that the Duratraxx Axis took on a field of Mugens and K's at my local track and the Axis won. I will only recognize an actual club posted results of results from something valid like ROAR or NORCCA.:spam

Also, you have to take into account of who was driving what. You could have bad drivers with high $ cars getting whipped by good drivers with low $ cars.

my point exactly we have no way of gauging driver skill or experience. Who the hell is Slammin Sam?

yeah 90% driving skills and %10 car is what I've heard.

ummm, I don't use AOL and never have. Where did you get that?

humboldtblazer, I dont see your track listed on the ROAR website either. Does that invalidate the races you have there? This guy could be blowing smoke out his ass, but I don't see any reason why he would.

My point is in the hands of a skilled driver, the Lightning Pro can compete with the big boys. Can the same be said about the Axis?

Yes my track is not ROAR yet and my postings of results are unoffical and could be made up for all you know so they are not valid results.

The results you posted are more valid than mine because you can go to his tracks website and see those same reluts posted. I just see you really trying to make us think you HB is a great racer and until I see some ROAR and NORRCA relsults (for more than one race)than I will keep my opinion of it as a good basher. I will start to see some validaty to your claim that it can hang with the big boys after some "pro" results are posted.

You have a AIM link at the bottom of all your post so I though you used AOL because you had the instant messaging.

oh hehe

AOL Instant Messanger is a popular chat medium around RCNT. I'm not a big fan of AIM myself. I signed up when Mayhem needed help with a laptop he was working on. It's like ICQ or anything else along those lines.

At this point I don't know jack about racing. It does feel good to see others having good results with the buggy I purchased. The stock mill is crap, but I don't think that was ever a big mistery.

Yeah with the mill you bought you should be more than fine! The Hyper 8 port racer is an animal!

but my Sirio will still beat it!!

Ok have to jump in on this Beazer Martin with a lightning Pro qualified 3rd in the Silver State Nitro Challenge sport A-Main and finished 7th at the end of the day. Not bad if you ask me for a 320.00 buggy.

Yes true more than one race would be nice but you wanted to see how it did at a big race sooo that is why I wanted to post that. You have to understand HB is a small company and kind of new to 1/8 buggy stuff. As far as I know they don't have any big name drivers in the buggy class yet.

small company my eye.........can you say HPI?

And yes I think it is a decent buggy and a decent driver with that buggy could probably smoke me with my $1500+ Storm.

I just wouldnt buy one but thats me.

meathead, thanks for signing up man. More AMMO! Do you know what engine he was running in it? it's wasn't the stock .21BB was it?

Not sure trying to find out. As for HPI from what I have been told they just work with each other but I could be wrong. Still makes that 320 buggy look nice next to the storm and K2's Ofnas. But hey I will stick to my buggy and you to yours that is why the make more than one. ;)

Hmmm where is the HB's lightning ohh its in the sportsman class or "am" class. Ok now I get it.

better yet how about the storm???? Oh it's been out for how long and I don't see it on the list. Must suck then (as you would say if it didn't race it must not be good) What page did you get the results from with the car type?

O and I think I did say sport class in my first post!

I am not defending my Storm in this thread I was talking about the Hotbodies Lightning Pro since that is the name of the thread. I have always stated my opinion to be K's Mugens, TT, Crono's are the best buggies for racing as they always win "pro level" races.
