Bashing story:

They sold the wing mount, so I was out bashing yesterday without a wingfor the 2nd time. Made a 32 ft jump over quads that ar suposed to be two sets of doubles. It was awsome, but I broke the bottom screw head off the rear chasis brace. That ended my day short, but I was relieved that when I noticed the problem I checked the chasis and it was not tweeked. Shhhuuuuuuuu!

I'm using the JP1 with good results, it comes with its own header. its heavy but beefy, especially the stinger. had to cut some of the 'wings' off, and more body but i dont care. everyone around here has one. mine makes tons of power all around.

Yeah, the JP1 kicks @$$. Originaly I didn't think the header that comes with it would fit, but it does.

I recently started having radio problems. I have a JR XS3, that likes to cut out sometimes. Fixed by blowing pff the inside of the Rx. Then the steering sevo I was usine took a break, so I had to put the JR 590 I was using for thotle in the steering, and put the 270 never usedin the throtle. Now I have to play with the linkage, and %/EPA stuff in the radio, because when I just barely touch the thotle it opens to 3/4. Point of the storie is that while bashing this way (because I can't sit on the sidelines) I was going around a turn when I hit the gas and started doing donuts. Meanwhile another buggy came along and hit me breaking my rear C-hub.

The list of parts I need that no one can get is getting unreasonable, and really starting to wear on me. Where do you guys get your Lightning Pro 2 parts? Or, are you as frustrated as me with the whole thing?

Hate to say it, but if it doesn't get better soon I'm going to have to switch brands.

Anyone know what Wt. oil comes in the front, center, and rear diffs of a Pro 2?

I think it is 3,000 in all of them you should change it out to fit your needs or if you like it like that then keep it like that.

I probably will change it out, because I would like to have a little more power in the rear, or maybe less so the front can pull more in the turns. I don't like how I have to basically coast threw the turns. Granted I mostly drive on 6 ft wide lanes, and hairpin 180 deg turns, but I think it can do better.

Also I don't think they are all the same, because the front is harder to spin by hand than the rear.

The front in my hb lightning 1 was harder to spin then the back. But i had grease in it. But i looked it up on some web site and it says the front and the middle have 4,000 and the rear has 3,000. Sorry about the first post i thought they were all of the same.

my lhs has done a decent job of getting me pro parts. went through the manual and got all the parts with a -1 at the end of the part number.

also i am buying a used roller chassis for spare parts. this is much cheaper than buying individual parts, since i get everything in one go i also have every part with me. reason is that even if i buy 10 bags of spare parts, its going to be that one thing i didnt get. like i broke the fuel tank saturday and was 2 hours from my home. if i had a spare parts car i would have kept going.

placed 3rd overall (missed second by one point) with my pro converted rtr. almost had top qualifier too. this is against about 10 buggies, mostly ofnas, and a K2 (driven by the fastest kid ever) probably a few other buggies.
