Does any one run the extended chassis on their savage? I know it extends the truck by a full inch, but how does it affect the handling characteristics of the truck? Anyone?

i dont run it but a couple of customers at my store have it and they say it runs Great and is better becasue it keeps the truck on the ground!

Thanks, I just finished putting it on my savvy, but I haven't ran it yet. I just wanted to get some opinions from others.

Longer wheelbase should make it harder to lift the front end and a little bit more stable. I beleive Goose1072 had a savage with the extended chassis. Try PMing him for the performance gains.

Do you have the Truckzilla conversion kit or the Sportzilla? If you have the Truckzilla kit it will take awhile for the motor to break in completly! 10-12 tanks before it breaks in completly.

Absolutely correct. I've been helping someone break in and tune his .46 Truckzilla conversion, and on the most informative site for info on it, it even said "You might think this is a very undependable engine till you've gotten past 12 tanks."
A lot of engines get to a point that's called "Break in blues." Once they get past that, you've got it made, as long as you have tuned them correctly.
Good luck with it. It's a beast. It has 1.2 horsepower more than my first riding lawnmower that had 3.5.

hi, i have the 1 inch tvb extension on my sav. i love it, it make the sav look a lot bigger and the handling is awesome. the 1 inch actually adds a lot of stability compared with the stock sav. the only thing i dont like are the big 7 inch truckzilla tires. too big and heavy.
