The Dynamite tools I ordered are here. I am pretty happy with them by first impressions.
The handles are big enough for my giant hands to grip and apply torque when needed. They don't feel 'cheap' or slippery.
Grip is a big issue for me sometimes. No problems here.
Each tool tip is held in the handle with a 2mm allen screw and can be replaced. I am unsure if the tip are actually availible tho.
I test fit a few of the tips and they feel like a solid, positive grip in each case.
The 5.5mm and 7mm nut drivers are deep. Long enough to fit over shock mounting studs and axles. The black finish looks tough.
The 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm hex bits are finished in smooth gold.
They are all long enough to suit my 1/10 buggys well.
The tools are well marked with white print to identify size and tool type. Much easier to see than stampings in the plastic or metal.
I may put different colored bands on them to make it quicker to id on the bench. These tools are intended for track. Being fast might actually matter.
The tool case seems pretty good too. I am happy that there is room on the other side to expand this set in the future.
The black and red with the white printed Dynamite logo on each side look good.
Red and black were my high school colors. I always liked the colors. The school... ehhh. Lol!
The bands in the case are stitched in place. They are holding the tools in the case very well.
I doubt they will be going anywhere even when they get tossed around in the trunk.
The case is zippered. It feels like nylon fabric over hard board of some kind.
The edge is reinforced. Its stitched with red fabric all the way around. I don't expect the corners will poke thru any time soon.
The outside of the case is padded so I can put them inside my roll cart and not have to worry about damage.
There's even a little nylon loop on the inside or pop it out for an easy way to carry a few things at once. The loop is more than large enough to grab by a few fingers.
Dynamite tools have a good rep around here and I expect good things. I am actually excited to put these tools to work!
I feel like this is a great deal for anyone looking for a good set of tools for beginners or seasoned vets.
Happy Father's Day everyone!!!
