Hello All.

three years ago i bought a Inferno DX old school lol. anyhow i was wondering if there was a place i can hop it up. i would really like to put a 2 speed in it but all the hop ups i see are for the new inferno's. i was going to sell it all and buy all new. but i need my 100 posts :/
this buggy never let me down. a very fast and good buggy. when i bought it. it was almost new. it still has the original rims and body on it. i ran the original motor in it for a long time till i went with the best motor i could find from O.S. . it is the O.S. VZ-B. the motor only has 1/4 gallon through it. the reason for this is because a screw under the front went MIA (Missing In Action). i dont know where i can buy parts for this thing? it is a small screw under the one arm. it holds the steering on the bottom of the arm. where do i get parts.....

Towerhobbies.com used to have parts. You can Try GreatPlanes.com as they are (well they used to be, i dont know if they still are) the US distributor for KYOSHO. Otherwise you'll prolly have ot look on ebay or scour the internet. To my knowledge the Inferno DX has been discontinued for a long time now. It will be very hard to find parts.

I would first recommend trying to find the original manual if you dont already have one. Then start searching on the net for the part numbers. Aftermarket parts for RCs is a new phenomenom that has only taken off in the last 5-6 years. Before that it was rare to find someone other then the manufacturer making parts for our beloved rides.

Get the screw measurements and try to match it to a current production model. Most screws are stil beingused oon one rig or another from the same maker.

thanks guys. yes the DX is old. but I'm my opinion it started the inferno rage. i am going to stick with it because I'm not a moron and spend 800$ for them new ones when there really isnt much that has changed. yea weight, yea gear ratio. but not much has changed. my buddy buys all them top of the line new infernos alot. he has never beet me at all. some times the loss of weight isnt so good.
but anyhow I've just bought 2 boxes of USA nitro and DX parts off ebay. but I'm having a problem finding a new set of rims. but i will check them sites you sent me. and tower kinda sucks now. no more inferno's there and parts and slim to find as well. dont know what happen there. hell i still have the magizine from tower when the DX inferno came out! boy I'm old.

i know i know. i just think for around here it would be pointless to spend anything over 500$ for a buggy or any kinda RC machine. there are no tracks and the one that was open (just built) had to be closed due to no ventalation:( i dont understand why they closed it because all the walls opened up but who ever closed them down wanted vents in the roof and this poor kid already put 40,000$ into this place. its a shame but shi+ happends. so I'm sticking with my OLD OLD OLD buggy for now. if there was a good track and a place to compete i would be spending alot more $$$. but between my two kawasaki ninjas and my family and new house just bought money is tight.

Dude, I had the same thing happen to me (the track being closed for apparently no reason). Did some research on the web board for the local 'R/C club' that I helped start, and according to the board, it was closed due to the landlord being an idiot.

This literally happened 2 weeks after I got my MBX5.

I'm just going to patiently wait, because I know a new track will pop up sooner or later.

yea it sucks. but i just bought a home with a little bit of land in town and was thinking of making a track. but people might think my buggy might be to loud and not sure what the wife will say. there are places i can take it to run it. i really want to make my inferno for top speed right now. if i remeber i put a 17 tooth on the front and WOW. screamed..... bad thing is the tires ripped off the little bugger and spun out.

Heh, I had the same problem with my storm. The tires would peel right off the rims. Turned out to be weak glue. Don't believe the ad with the guy hangin from the hardhat. It's a lie!!!

Anyways, back on track; I can take mine to the local Civic Auditorium, but the downside is, it'd spook the cows into a stampede.
