Starting a legit build thread for the future civic Si x ill be creating.

Here's the basis:

Chassis:
Tamiya tt-02r
cheap
good quality
versatile

Electronics:
Not 100% sure at the moment, but i want to do a classic radio, brushless motor and esc, and servo doesn't matter much to me quite yet

Body:
This is the entire reason I'm doing this!
I cannot find a body that replicates the sedan version of the civic x! i can only find hatchbacks and coupe's!
Hopefully a company called Pandora RC can custom make it. They have licensing from a ton of Japanese car brands, including Honda!
Anyone done business with them?

Hopefully i can mod the body to where i have scale versions of the lights. I'll be making use of a 3d printer, and I've got an idea for the Drl's and lets just say it's inspired by how Nintendo does some stuff ;)
Graphics:
This is the real life basis! After a lot of surfing for a decal maker, I will find someone that can re-create the decals from the real car. maybe even the company that made the 1:1 decals could do a special order? Or Etsy lol.

Here's the real life car for those of you wondering ;)

Well, i think that's all the info I've got right now. This is probably going to take me a year or two to get all the way finished, so get comfortable for awhile!

As always, thanks for the support RCT!

UPDATES!!

That pandora rc place FINALLY got back to me on the body. They wanted 2.2 million yen to produce it! that is like 14-15k!! I asked if they could do a one run copy for much much less, but they said no. so I'm done with them, and now we're back to square 1 on it. Does anyone know a place that could custom make one out of polycarbonate, or really any plastic that would be suitable for a body? It needs to be clear though! i did notice the real car got type r headlights instead of the normal ones in the si. that makes it easier. I did see there is a polycarbonate of the hatchback type r, but i want sedan! worst case we go there, but I'm hoping to keep the model exactly scale, so we need a sedan. if i do go that route, ill most likely end up cutting the wing off and installing one that is on the 1:1. Anyone got ideas of how i can get the right body? can i mess with the hatchback body to look like the sedan?

Sorry for the long paragraph, I'm on my computer for once and I'm just spitting out ideas as i think of them

Thanks rct!

MORE UPDATES!
I found the tt-02r wasn't gonna work with my body and found a car called the cero m210. Belt driven awd chassis. No electronic bits but a good price. Decided we are doing fk8 body. Found one at a good price yet again. Still not sure on radios. Anyone got a good idea? Doing lights and underglow which will be fun! Trying to get the wrap made at scale and sell that blasted e-revo!

Thats all for today folks!
