Anyone have one of the keyless entry door knobs WITHOUT the key slot? Wondering if they are just as good or if they suck since the battery can go dead and you wont have a key access?

Lol if its like the one i had it should have a sensor when the batteries are low it should not lock.
These locks are only good when you forget to lock your door and you can lock it from your phone.
Other then that they do the same as the old fashion ones.

I wanted to get my parents one for their main door so they dont have to mess with a key and the ones that are minus a key hole are WAY cheaper....as am I lol.

Link doesn't work Mike. I'll look for Schlage brand though.

Was holding baby Michael and manged to link to a RCNT page that didn't even exist, haha. Linked fixed.

I have one on my front door, it works great. You can tell when the battery is getting low because the motor inside will sound very slow. I personally never had the problem of the battery dying, and being locked out. So all I can say is they work great.

That is a nice looking setup Mike. Added to my maybe's.

Did yours not have the key lock Jose? The one without one I was looking at says it has a back up power supply incase the battery dies, that should be a nice touch.

Mine was similar to the one woodie posted. I'm trying to think what brand it was. It did have a key hole though. I just punched in the code and it would unlock. I havent messed with locks since i quit working with hollow metal doors an panic bars for a company i used to work for in 06. Alot must have changed since then lol.

We go in and out through the garage. No key required. LOL

Ahhh, I'll buy them a garage door, brilliant Rob :D
