I just switched to White Lightning and I love it...somewhere in here someone said some thing anout a fuel that burns your eyes---that's when you know you got the good stuff--lol
Ratzo--don't you love when someone tells you something can't be when they weren't even there, I know what you mean bout the WL 30%, I can't seem to get lean enough? I LOVE IT>>> here is a link to them if you want to check it out... I am sure if you want to run this and are not sure about it this will help you decide.
http://www.whitelightningrc.com/
and they carry it in 20%,30% and 40%
the only thing I don't like is it's clear, I can deal with it and there is a reason I know but it is sometimes hard to tell if it's in the fuel line or how much fuel is left in the tank--it is something I can deal with easy enough though..

i use odonnel 30% and i also thought about the same thing that I'm gonna run hot but i was surprised my temps are 170s-190s after a whole tank and my truggy rips too ..and before i switched i use monsterbrew which has 16%oil so my tuning was messed up even if I'm running lean i still have a lot of smoke..so someone recommended 30% and yeah its true i ran more cooler and my wasp26's runs cooler now..i need to try it on my mach and sh28

ok isn't this fuel like 100 bux a gallon? I saw it at Horizon and its not cheap.

>EDIT< 100 bux a gallon man

I'll take 10 cases at $10 a gallon--It's about $27-$30 a gallon and about $14 per quart for the 30% anyhow-lol

Jon. Cost me about $27 bucks for a gallon of 30%.

really? THen my catalog from horizon is wrong cause it is stating a price of more than 100 bux. WTH?

Well I'm going to get me a gallon this week-end and try it........I've been reading and hearing about it for awhile now..........just gotta find out for myself......hehe.......should prove to be fun in the Sirio .12 I got in the ntc3..........

I wasn't tyin to rip on ya just makin a joke---and I think maybe you might be seeing the price per case?? I couldn't find a price on it per gallon but the math sounds like it adds up to a $100 a case as you get a discount on bulk usually, and the case my buddy bought there was 4 gallons in the case...and I love this stuff--it rips give it a try Nitrobuzzard and I bet you will like it..I am a firm beleiver, I acually want to try it in my Maxx to but I know I will have to get a head shim

Jon2... Sometimes hobbyshops sell by 4 gallons. Like a year ago i was searching for fuel online (didn't know anything) and it was always 4 gallons, never 1.

good point..

20% to 30%

Thats a cool endorsement Ratzo, as I'm going to switch from O'donnell 20% to White Lightning 30%.

Q: Making the switch from 20 to 30 will I have to adjust richer or leaner? I know its been said before here but I couldn't find it.

UMM actually he's probably going to lean it out....higher Nitro content will need more O2 to balance the mixture.....
also you WILL see a cooler running temps going from 20 to 30%...more Nitro runs cooler...just be sure you're shimmed right...I just throw an extra shim on mine when I run 30...Corrado had the measurments for head clearance in another thread on here
....lately I use Maxy's 25% and I'm liking it a lot...less engine wear and close to the same power......
guys running the White lightning:
we had a lot of road guys run it and saw the same power increases but the noobies that all switched to it started blowing engines.....I ripped one apart and saw rust all over in there....just be sure you are dumping ARO every time you finish the day.......the lower content was what seems to have killed these guys engines....not the fault of the WL but rather their own for not doing proper maintenance on the mills....we asked everyone that blew up after the switch and that seemed to be the deciding factor as to who blew and who lasted......

on the oil thing.. one explination i found for less oil running cooler is the fact that there are better technologies in oils.. the oil itself cools and lubes better so you dont need as much oil content to get the same result.. that sounds good to me.. i think ima try it.. I'm almost out of go juice anyway..

the higher nitro content is why they are running cooler.....as far as the oil content....it (WL) has enough to run you all day long but not enough to leave a residual amount for storing it.....that's all I was saying.....

good info plaid.. but one queston.. should i use it ever time or just when I'm not gonna run it for a few days??

Currently using O'donnel, i'm going to switch to Byrons with my new engine, any one know the oil % for byrons, I know O'donnel is 8% (I think)

Also, I need some more shims, anyone know wheere I can order some online.

If I were to run a fuel that didn't coat my internals after running I would definatly use ARO. Its worth the 3 bucks for the aro compared the price of an engine.
