Howdy gang -
Saw a Hobao SC10 SCT on a local FB group for cheap, and decided to give 4wd SCT a try. It came as a roller, almost new. I had a spare TS-411MG servo for it, but I'll need to source a motor/ESC. Also, I am not really excited about the body, somewhat bla... Would it be sacrildge to buy a take-off Senton body for it? LOL...

Thanks!

I still have not run it... Grr... I have had a minor soap opera of getting a motor/ESC combo backordered for a month, then second choice was backordered too, settled on a cheap combo, but got one with a dead ESC, returns and resends, and once I got a good ESC, crappy weather for like a month... LOL The ESC is one of those GoolRC/Supass/Racerstar "Waterproof" (ink) so I dare not get it wet...

Oh, and with the odd battery tray (holds the pack on the narrow edge) I can't use my 2s packs with the inboard plugs (which is all my decent 2s packs) so I am still not sure what I will do about that. Solution will probably involve my 3d printer and a bit of cad time... :)

Oh, and here is a pic showing the "Beef" factor between our Arrma BLX6s, this SC10E, and a Tekno SCT410. The Arrma Arm is from a Typhon, the steering knuckle from a Kraton. Both are very similar to what would be on a Senton 6s.

I think Vas has one of these, he did an unboxing but hasn't done any running vids, now that I think about it he hasn't really done much for rc videos lately. Idk how the winter is in the land down under but summer for him is coming up soon.

Yeah, Vas had both the SC10E and the SC8E. He did the unboxing and some running vids, but no full review yet, I don't think. As far as his channel, seem he posted he was having family health issues that were taking up his free time (maybe his Dad? not sure).

Get an aluminum top plate up front ASAP. Other than that, boil the arms, knuckles and hubs. I had the TT version of that truck and got tips and stuff on YouTube.

The guy I bought it from had swapped in aluminum knuckles and hubs, so I am good there. Top plate - is that the one above the belcrank? I think there might be one in the bag of parts...

Oh, and I did finally get this truck running. Motor is a 3800kv 3660 Racerstar, ESC is Racerstar 80a. Just ran it around the front yard and a bit up and down the street. Stock tires are nothing great, but other than that seems good. :)

The aluminum knuckles restrict articulation, so make sure you swivel the arms and wheels through their whole travel 360 degrees when setting the EPA. Stock plastic ones will give you more articulation.
