Hi, I'm a newbie (at 55!) and enjoying my first boat which is surprisingly fast for a cheapy(£27/$35). From what I understand it's quite normal to get grease coming out of the prop shaft when using reverse, but how do I remove it from the motor to regrease it? I'm guessing I need to remove the motor screws and lift it up to allow the shaft to come out the back?
Also any recommendations on grease? I've got some general purpose lithium I was planning to use.

Looks like you will need to remove the motor, and possibly the screws holding the shaft down. You'll have to remove the prop as well I'm guessing. Never worked on the prop shaft on our banggood boat, but it shouldn't be too complicated.

For grease, I use Mobil1 synthetic red grease in everything. It's safe for plastics.

That's brilliant, thanks!
Which boat do you have?
I'm amazed at the speed of mine for something so cheap with a brushless motor

Ours is the FT012. The ESC crapped out on it after a few minutes. Took 3 months to get banggood to send me a replacement. By that time the pond we were running in got filled in. But it was definitely fast while it did run 😉
