Yesterday i took my classic out to the parking lot, which seems to be a pretty clean lot, not much debris lying around.

Well, after a couple of runs back and forth and the engine nice and hot and running not too bad i decided to see if i could make some highspeed runs.

First 2 runs were great.. car was wooshing by like the devil itself was chasing it. I guess at the third run the devil extended his leg to make my car trip and i must have hit a small rock or something, because the front of the car lifted off, completely lost control over the car and it must have tumbled at least 5 times over, if not more. 8-0 8-0 I really thought it would split in 2 or more pieces.
Somehow the car came to a stop upside down and still idled. Luckily the airfilter did not come loose (good craftsmanship on my side? :naughty: ) so it didn't suck in any dirt.

I checked the car and everything seemed to be in best mechanic order

And my 5 year old said: It scared him out of the crap :hehe: :hehe: I love it when they mess up sentences like this.

Anywho... it was a good weekend and my car is still alive :w00t:

Anyone else had a crash, where you thought your car would just disintegrate in all its pieces?

Thomas

oh yeah! when I got my nitro4tec(crap IMO) a while back I was on my street, I usually only run on the street after the city sweeper has come down my block, it all looked clean except for one little piece of 4th of july rocket on the ground, funny how the cars find that one little piece isnt it? and wham! at wot this car seamed like it tumbled a hundred times, I just let go of the throttle and watched in amazment, nothing else you can do at this point! the car finally ended up smashing into my neighbors mail box and died, it was silent but I heard my neighbors kid behind me say, dude! That was awsome! and then his mother saying, jeez! isnt that a little dangerous! DAMN I LOVE THIS HOBBY!
damage:
rear shock tower
both front A arms
very scratched motor head
lesson learned: walk the street first!

I didn't have one. But my brother had one at the wheel of my car. Took a WOT run down the street in front of my mom's house. Got a little too close to the edge. Rear end came out and clipped the grass. Sent it into about 10 barrel rolls. I was cringing because not only was it rolling, it was rolling on a brand new body that I had just airbrushed. Luckily nothing was broken. I thought for sure something would give...

OOoooh, me like this thread!:w00t:

OK so many crashes with my RS4 3, and since i don't want to get my custom-painted body all dirty or shattered, i don't run with the body. There were several times i hit the curb at WOT and do several barrel rolls, one time my stinger broke off, made a half-inch hole in the ground! another curb hit, my right front dogbone burst clean out of the car! Sometimes, i've had barrel rolls on my driveway, and even now i'm still surprised it hasn't shattered into a gazillion pieces. my heat-sink head is scratched a bit, but the car is intact. These crashes have realigned the body posts so i can't get the body on anymore.

Methinks i'd better run with the body on. please no posts regarding my running with the body off!:opps:

i had a beauty the other day with my kyosho v once s. I Live in a street with a few courts coming off it, i was flying around as usual decided to go a wot run, was keeping to the center of the road to avoid curbs etc, at wot i hit one of those reflective catseye's in the center of the road, i swear the car went about 5 feet into the air tumbling. when it hit the road again the first time it stil bounced (off the roof) another 2 or 3 feet, all i could hear was scraping and compacting lexan as i kept tumbling. it would have rolled atleast 20 times. I ran over to inspect the damage, and it was hapily idling away, with no damage other than the rear wing of the body dangling off, a few scapes and pushed in lexan and bent body posts, and 3 missing split pins. I thought this thing was never to run again without a major rebuild from my vantage, but i bow to the makers kyosho, for one tough mutha

Well when I was still pretty new to r/c, I was playing with my RTR nitro ob4. Thing wasn't really fast. But it was fast for a newbie. Anyhow, I let my friend run it. And I never really changed the AA batteries or have a failsafe.

Anyhow, he had it WOT, then the receiver goes dead, no control. Slams into a curb doing probably 40mph. Pretty much everything broke that was remotely expensive. Oh yeah, it did a half flip...lol

Then one time I was running my ntc3 with my nice bmw body and hit and manhole cover and had it sliding on it's roof for a good 30-40ft. Didn't look so nice after that.

lol on the first day i got my savage it was christmas and it was pretty much broken in (he broke it in before he gave it to me). but i let my dad run it which was a big mistake. well anyways we still had a bit of the steering trim was off and he was driving it down the street and so he turned it around and he gunned it and after he picked up quite a bit of speed he cliped a buick on christmas and he tore off the whole entire right side of the front left part of the savage and it looked like crap after that but the good news is we got everything replaced and so the front left side is a bit stronger than the left. the other thing is my dad wont drive my rc anymore he is afraid lol.
