Hitech HS 645servo ?

I'm getting my list together and tonight i will order all parts for the three mods recommended in this forum...ofna throttle/brake linkage mod...4 gear diff spider mod..and the OFNA Servo Mod.

I know the MP servo mod will work with the stock servo, but, my only concern...is i want to make sure before i order is if the Ofna servo saver (#18034) is compatable with the Hitech HS-645MG servo. I will upgrade the servo in a couple of months.

I think any servo that size should be compatible with the MP servo saver, as long as it fits in the Savage it should be ok.

Oh, and it seems that people favour the OFNA gear set for the 4 spider gear mod instead of HPI ones. Some people have managed to break their HPI spider gears... so you might want the OFNA ones instead.

The MP servo saver doesn't bolt directly to the servo like the stock one. You need to buy some (at least 1) heavy duty servo horn for a hitec servo. My 645MG came with a couple horns that will probably work ok, you just might have to cut some ears off. You don't run both the stock saver and the MP saver at the same time.

I just checked your link for the servo, the red one will work after cutting 3 of the ears off and drilling out a hole so you can run a bolt through the little connector arm to connect it to the MP servo saver.

I will be sure to get the ofna gear set rather than HPI's. Phew, glad that 645 comes with a horn that i can use after some hacking with my cutters.
