Sold / Found hitec servo gear

well my revo steering servo took a poop on me and i have already purchased a new one from robmob, great guy! since i already had a new one on the way i decided to open up the broke servo. what i found was a stripped gear, its the gear located on bottom of the spline piece where your linkage connects, the splines and this gear are one unit.

The servo is a hitec hs 645mg.

would anyone happen to have the same servo thats broke somewhere else other than mine they want to sell cheap? or even a bigger shot in the dark, might actually just have that gear laying around?

servo is great other than that one gear, if nobody here has anything could someone point me in the right direction to order a new gear for it? can't see just tossing it out with so little wrong with it and being such an easy fix.:\

I think I have an old fried 645 you could have... just for shipping. Let me look around. It would be electronically fried, not gear fried...

I actually have another Hitec HS 645MG Servo that is basically brand new. It was mounted in my Revo and used testing of the linkage and that is it. The only problem is that one of the holes in ears got damaged when I gorilla gripped my electric screwdriver and drive the screw through the hole instead of out. All you need is a washer to cover the hole, and it is good. You could also just use the top part of your servo.

$12.50 for it and I will ship it with your other servo.

That sounds like the way to go! I found mine. Case is fine and gears were fine (as far as I recall). You could buy his and also get mine, then you'd have your fixed and a cheap one from robmob as backup.

$5 for shipping probably would cover it.
