i have a hitec g645 servo in my revo for the stearing servo. does it take a diffrent servo horn? its been in the rig for a while with no problems, but with my last 2 bashing sessions i have stripped out 2 servo horns. on both of the horns, i had to shave a little of the plastic off so it doesn't rub on the servo case.. it fits snug as a bug. also on the 645 i noticed that it wont go full throw, so my stearing is limited, thats been an ongoing problem. iv tried to resenter the servo gears, but nothing. you can twist it by hand and it goes to the end of the lock..but when plugged in, it only turns bout an 1/8 way.. I'm thinking its time for a new one?

Did you get extra horns with the Revo? HPI supplies the proper horns for 3 spline sizes.
What kind of radio are you using. If you have a computer radio, you can adjust the end points of the servo travel.
Your problem might also be that the horn you are using is not the proper length for your steering set up. That's why it's not going all the way in both directions.

hey rolex, thanx.. I'm using the stock radio gear, so there is no throw adjustment. I'm also using the stock revo servo horns. and dont remember getting one with my revo kit(4-5yrs ago). most non factory servo's take diffrent horns. but this seems to fit soo good.. i dont wanto think that the servo is bad. its quiet and smooth with plenty of torque and has never gottin wet or anything, but it just wont go all the way

Make note of the travel distance while operating the steering with the radio. Next, disconnect the linkage, but leave the servo horn where it was, and operate it without it being attached to the linkage. Does it still move the same, or does it move more?
If it moves more, something is binding in the suspension or steering, and if it moves the same, try a longer arm if it will fit there.
