I am planning on buying some AL bulkheads this week and was wondering if they use the stock hingepins. Do different manufacturers use different methods. Just wondering if I need to buy hingepins with e-clips on both ends. Thanks!

I'm sure you could use the stock ones but i reccomend the Lunsford TI hinge pins i run them and love em'

if ur upgrading to aluminum bulkheads u can no longer use the stock hinge pins. u need the hinge pins with e-clips. cut the stock ones screw into the bottom of the bulkhead which is hard to do in aluminum. lol.

Maxx is correct.

If you can't afford the Kick Ass Bulks with integrated hingpins from Rc-Solutions then get the Lunsford racing Titanium HIngpins like Dom said. I run them and I've never bent any (YET). Even if you could use the stock Hingepins, you wouldn't want to as I've bent them with 4ft or less jumps.

From what i have seen aluminium bulks either come with the new pins or they will tell you what to get. So i guess it would depend on what you are getting. If you are going to do it, do it right and get something that will not break, otherwise it is cheaper to replace stock ones, but who ever liked stock anyway?

These guys make some high quality bulks. The sell a full set with nice bulk braces for $115. Well worth the $. These are made out of the 7075 aluminum which is significantly harder than the 6061 a lot of other places offer.

I don't think they come with hingepins, but they offer supermaxx titanium ones on their site for $17.

Or you could go for their 6061 equivalents for $80:

I would definitely reco the RPM bulkhead braces with Allum bulks (if they'll fit)so you have some level of flex in your bulkhead assembly in a nasty front end wrecks. My buddy act bent the hell out of his 6061 Integy bulks.
