I was wondering about how many turns out your high fuel needle is set at. I've got about 9 tanks through my new Savage 4.6 now and my needle is about 3 3/4 turns out. Does that sound about right? Temps havent even gotten over 220 yet. It also pulls wheelies pretty easy especially in the grass!!

Thanks

if i remember correctly, that sounds about right. the stock 3 turns out is a pretty rich setting. are you still getting a nice streem of blue smoke? if your pulling wheelies then it sounds like your low speed needle is maxed out. keep an eye on the temps. even more so when the fuel level drops in the tank as it runs leaner as the tank empties

Lots of blue smoke. I'll check the low speed needle and make sure its not a little lean. Stock setting for the high is 3 out? I'm at 3-3/4 out then am I running really rich?? It also seems to take a long time to even get up to 200. Almost the whole tank. Should I lean it out and tune by the temp?? Whats a good average temp? My Revo 3.3 runs abouts 240 and I beat it hours at a time.

Thanks again,
Verlin

If she is lifting the front then your high speed wont be too rich. Sounds good actually. Your low speed will lift the wheels but by the time they're up the high speed needle has already come into play. If she was running rich then you'd know.
If you're happy with that I'd leave it there. Maybe go one hour on the high speed but no more. A bit rich is better as long as you're happy with the power.
