Hi looking to buy my first NITRO car, advice

Looks like a nice 1/8 scale buggy and the price isn't bad just make sure you won't have trouble getting parts for it, because what ever you deside to buy you want make sure you can get parts for it, hopfully at your LHS...

Think about it....

I was you 6 months ago!!!! I bought a 1/10 scale buggy, basically "no name" which directly translates into "no parts". My buggy ran ok, took me about 5 hours to get it broke in and tuned right. So i took it out for the first run and it got about 100 yards away from me and took off!! I could no longer control the buggy and Wham.... right into the side of a dumpster at 45mph. Needless to say parts are very expensive and over 1 week to get to me. If you want my advice, go to your LHS and ask them what they thing. Also look at Traxxas, it crazy easy to get parts for them becasue everyone has them. The Nitro 4-tech is about the sweetest car you can get and it goes over 70mph.
So, just think about what your doing with your $200 and dont throw it in the trash.

The Hobao Hyper 7 would be a very good choice. It's one that many many racers out there run and from the reviews in RC Driver it's one of the best.

Hobao is a partner to OFNA, which has been in the business since the beginning. Can't go wrong there.

I agree with cupooterluvr, that name has been around a while, and if you say you are good at handling speed, well that .28 will deffinitely give you a run for the money. Good luck and I'd say get that one.

The Hyper 7 is probably the strongest and best quality buggy for the price, and is better than some of the higher end gear too. Great choice, jump in and you wont regret it.

well.. get a vehicle that will be fairly easy for you to get the parts for it..
otherwise.. there's not much use or fun.. you're gona go through hell trying to find parts for it and it takes the fun out of the hobby
