hi guys I'm new to the rc nitro scene my son wants 1 for christmas and me if I'm honest lol ok I've been looking around and been on a site called nitrotek.the model I've looked at is the condor pro se. after reading revies I've read good and awfull reviews can someone please point me in the right direction should i buy it or not or is there better more reliable makes manythanks

I would look into a brand with a little better reputation for your first nitro. Also check with your local hobby store to find what parts they stock. It will be hard to keep a nitro in top shape if you have to order every part.

Well for first RC car i would go with XTM any kinda of XTM i mean its not the best but its cheap and easier to fix...if you want a good reliable rc car get Hpi more expensive but not soo expensive..i personally have both a on road Hpi and an Off Road Hpi..THEY ARE GREAT!!! For offroad get Savage X hpi those things hauls ass and are tough need any more info let me know lol

HPI all the way for me, I recently purchased a firestorm and I've put over 4 Litres through it with no broken parts at all! I also have a HPI RS4 that I have had very little problems with (only the one caused by me LOL) and I also hear and read that you cannot beat a HPI savage for durability which is going to be my next purchase.
Welcome to you and your son to this great hobby.

Ye i love my Savage X but it has been siting in my Garage for 3 weeks now due to a one way bearing broken because of turning the engine with the roto start for more than 5 sec. ordered a part, and out too bash lol best truck man HAULS ASS

You might also want to look into Traxxas. Most hobby shops carry parts for them. They're not real expensive and they have tons of aftermarket support.
