i need help with my tmaxx, i have an upgraded engine ( 3.3 ) and i keep burning up the clutch. any sugestions as to what clutch gear to run.
thank you

Burning up as in breaking/stripping the teeth off the spur gear? or melting the center out of the spur gear?

If you are stripping teeth, the slipper is too tight and/or the mesh was not correct.

If you’re melting the center the slipper was too loose, use 12 friction pegs in the spur instead of the stock 6 for a better bite with the 3.3

the last spur gear that I burned it was both the teeth and the center. I will try with 12 friction pegs and a tighter spring tension.

Thank you

and make sure you mesh it right another good idea is if you are running the black tranny which i would assume because you said upgraded with a 3.3 get these and they will make sure your tanny stays tight!!

you just drill the whole alittle bigger push those in and screw in the orgional screw.. I was stripping out spur gear after spur gear and couldnt figure it out and someone tole me to get those and I still have the same spur on it since I did it.... And definetly upgrading the slipper clutch is another good help to!!!!

Good luck hope this helps
