HELLO are there any rs4 3 rtr owners out there, if it is please tell me. I REAALY NEEED SOME IDEAS ABOUT HOP UPS. i already have a .15ss motor and a 2 speed. :mex: :doc: :marshall: :nuke:

Hey, I have a RTR3 that I have slowly been upgrading. It still has the 15 FE, but I put an OS 10 er carb on it, added the two speed, and new header, and I am now waiting on my new tuned pipe...

I would suggest a tuned pipe next, either the RD Logics, or THS Racing pipe. The adjustable turnbuckle set is a good choice too.

Hey NC Nitro I have the same engine like you do in my rtr3 and I want to put the 10E carb on it. I also put the 2 speed by hpi and added the ae pipe. THose turnbuckles are great!!!Please help me get my car on the winning streak!

If you don't care about being legal get an upgraded chassis, it'll lower the weight significantly

If you want to put an OS carb you will need the older version 10e, the 10 e has the threaded holes in the carb body to mount the carb to the engine, since the hpi requires two set screws to mount the carb. The 10 er uses a compession fitting like the OS engine and TRX engine, it does not have the threaded mounting holes. It made a huge difference in the way my 15 FE ran.

hey NCNITRO , Do you know where I can get the "older 10 E carb? Or can I be found brand new at the LHS?

heyKWONG2001 where can i find a lightened chassis or who makes one :shhh:

big boi, there are a few companies that make lightened chassis for the RS4 3. Heres a couple...

Wolfpack Radicals

New Era Models

Jon2, I don't know of anyplace that sells the 10 e new anymore. Your best bet would be to find one on one of the forums, or buy a OS engine off ebay or the forums, that needs a rebuild, many times you can get a good deal on one. The carb alone sells for $60, you can find a roasted mill for much less than that.

I'll bet HPI makes one...golden horizon should have one too...everyone makes something for the hpi cars

I would contact him first, the picture is not very good but it looks like an er not an e. I don't see the threaded holes in the side of the carb body.

Hey mcvickj, Thanks Can I Buy it from you direct?..What do you want for it?BE NICE!!:spidey:

If it was mine to sell I would offer it to RCNT members first. However I am not the person selling it. I just did a quick search on eBay for OS 10E Carb. Another place you could look is Radio Control Zone.

Hey NCnitro any other tips to help me with my RTR3?

I also own a RS4 rtr3 and I've heard about that lightened flywheels. NC, those any good?
[move]-Kellen[/move]

Kellen, I'm not sure about the flywheel for the HPI. I am using an RRP lightweight vented flywheel on my Maxx and I like it. I did not want to spend alot of money on the Nitro Star 15 FE, so I was just going to wait until I blew that engine up, and then get a real engine, and hop it up. But well over a year later, and no idea how much fuel, it's still running great.

hey kellen that flywheel acually works it give you more puch off the live and mid range :sneaky:

I have a 3ss kit that I added the HPI lightened vented flywheel to and it helped my holeshot and midrange RPM alot, of course the racing clutch in the third set of holes and a stiffer spring did alot more! I'm running a CVEC pipe<===(modified drilled the baffle and dremeled existing holes) and a MOTOR SAVER air filter on the 12 Rss with about 18inches of fuel line with a filter and about 13inches of pressure line! I've added a carbon brake disk and some 50weight shock oil with HPI blue springs in front and purple in the rear. Its killer fast on the track!!! I smoke TC3's that are much more upgraded than my RS4 3ss

Hey, man, don't put down the TC3's, it can work both ways, you can beat one or it can beat you. I'v been in r/c for 14 years, and I have run everything and raced against every car out there pretty much. My car has prob way more modds and is faster and better handling car than yours, and I can still have the odd TC3'3 blow my ass off the road.
I'm not trying to start anything, but in an other post you shot the car down to. You just need to go out to more races where the cars are better and see if you can keep up with them.
Like I said before, not trying to start anything so don't take affence, just don't put down the cars and munufactures like that when you have never had one or even drived one.
The competition is way different at a national race than fun races.
Peter
