Hey guy's. I know that this topic has been talked about before but it's got me going back and forth. I'm looking to upgrade my hex's to a 17mm or 23mm and getting new all around tires. I'm needing to get some paddles as-well.
I run mostly off road ( aggressive terrain ) but like to run a little on the road. I have only been running stock wheels and tires on my Revo. I should add that I'm running a OS 21tm in the truck. What I'm looking to do is get new/bigger hex's, one set of wheels with tires to fit. Also get some paddles x4 that will fit the new wheels. I will get some plain rims tater for the paddles.

My questions are:

1. What is the best hex size to run?

2. What hex has the most selection of tires and wheels?

3. What is the best wheels to run (for my apllication and something that looks good).

4. Does a 1/2" offset make the stance wider?

5. What tires should I get.

I appaligize for talking about this again but reading all the past posts have just kept me undecided.

Thanks.

17mm gives a lot of options and plenty of durability.
17 mm is what most of the industry is moving too.
I like the LPR tires/wheels, but I mostly race.
1/2" offset makes the truck one inch wider, I prefer this on most monsters.
The Badlands and the Losi ZombieMaxx tires are awesome for bashing and look great. They do not come in the LPR sizes though.
i think the 23mm hexes will be phased out soon.
RPM makes great 14mm hex wheels that are very durable as well. I highly recommend them. You can get them in 3/4" offset but not 1/2" offset. They are really good for bashing.

Thanks for the info guys. I bought the 17mm hexes today. I'm leaning toward the 40 series wheels. What do you guys think about bead locks?

I really like the look of the Zombie Max. I don't think they make them for the 40 series though.

Any one else have any input?
