Ok, I got after-run oil, diff grease, and air filter oil. I bought shock oil, and a complete shock rebuild kit. I have containers for the parts and wd40 and a ton of spare screws. Anything else you guys can think of that I may need when I tear this Tmaxx completely apart. Kinda excited. Cool little project. Also, as I go, I'll chat with you guys about the parts to see if they're original or upgraded. Also, as I go you guys can recommend upgrades as you see fit. Thanks

Yeah. I paid 250. It has aluminum bulkheads, looks like side rails are alum., front and rear skid plates are alum.,also the chassis is alum. I think some of the gears are upgraded but I won't know till I rip it down. I have knowledge of cars so I thought I should learn what I'm playing with. So, good the truck, good for me.

Get some old tooth brushes to clean every part with as you take them off.
If you have a digital camera, take a lot of pics to refresh your memory on how it all goes back together.

Good idea! I have a digital camera. Thanks for the tips.

See the banner under my post?
www.rcdocuments.com
You can click on it and go to the Traxxas button.
Under that you will find all the T-Maxx manuals and exploded views.
Use it to help take apart and put it back together.

I spent a lot of time putting it together for times just like this.

I love your avitar! Cool! I never noticed your banner, too busy getting all juiced about ripping the truck apart.
Consider me there!!

Welcome to my world hugo. Every used car I get gets torn down. Just remember where all of the screws go. Also, you may consider one of those clear organizers from walmart for a couple bucks for keeping everything (screws, bearings, set screws, stuff like that). This way you don't find yourself running back to the LHS for screws you once had.

Cause I'm too stupid to think of it all at the same time. I think that's bashing on me! I deserve it, sorry guys. I get on this site and get very excited. Then I start thinking of all the stuff I wanted to ask. Forgive me.

they are fun to tear down and put back together thats for sure.you could also get some denatured alcohol and spray it down and blow it off with a compressor. to get alot of the stuff off before you begin work.
