From that pic, it doesn’t look well to me.

Need better pics (macro) of the top of the piston and the head button.

should i completely tear it down and post more pics? is there any special way to tear down an o.s engine

the top of that piston and burn room really doesn't look good, has it been sitting for a while

yea it has i tok it fully apart and the entire engine has a layer of varnish, should i just give up or can it be cleaned?

i would try cleaning it ...with what ? i dont know ....WD40 is good for cleaning ...but you might need something stronger to remove all the varnish ...maybe soaking it in nitro fuel might work to

good luck

well i took it apart and the piston has a small crack on the bottom almost like a chunk missing, i think i need to get a new sleeve and piston, still cheaper than buying a new motor i guess, I'm going to soak it in wd-40 and at least clean it, now there are two bears that the crankshaft sits on should how can i pull them out i tried tapping them out but they will not come out

to get the bearings out , you have to cook your engine in the oven ..unless you have the right tool for the job
