Recommended factory settings are 3 to 3 1/2 turns from closed for HSN, LSN flush with brass sleeve, idle gap 1/16in. (1mm).

flush with the brass sleeve means that the top of the Low Speed Needle screw should line up with the top of the side of the sleeve it sits in. If it looks like the LSN currently sits below the top of the sleeve, then back it out until it's level with the top of the sleeve. If it's currently sitting out above the top of the sleeve, then screw it in further until it's level with the top of the sleeve.
