Well i burned out my ez start and got a pull start tried to start it and pulled the cord out..put it back togeather and am afraid to try and start it..what can i do to make sure i dont do this again?

alright, i had done this when i first got my pullstarter. how far are u pulling it out? if u pull it out all the way u will have the pull starter broken in no time. so i advise u to just go and pull it about half the way out, that is what i do and it works good.

Ok thanks for the tip. i'am going to try and start it in a little while and i will do that.

The normal stroke on the pull start should be no more than 10 inches. If you are pulling the cord further than that, you will snap the spring inside the pull start case. I do not know how much cord is spooled in the TRAXXAS pull start, but I would suggest that you not pull it half way out (unless the halfway mark is less than ten inches...in which case I suggest getting a new pull start with more cord).

It would be easier with a starter box. Every now & then u will pull out or break the cord. It's just another option.
