This is a little late in this thread, but I must say that I love the search feature. I melted my spur gear, and just by reading past threads (including this one), I've learned how to replace the spur gear, set the mesh properly, and tighten the slipper clutch. This is definately the best board (and bunch of guys) out there.

adjust the slipper like this:
tighten it all the way
put your maxx against a wall
loosen it until it stops trying to climb the wall

get a t-6 aluminum motor mount I broke my first on a not-so-bad jump. so I installed a stronger upgrade and never a break.
