My friend is stripping his spur gears pretty fast on his HPI NMT. Is there anything stronger that will fit on the NMT:help:

ditto.. perfect wont stripp them.. also.. dont set the mesh like you would a electric truck.. i set mine where there is just a little play in the gears.. not much though

also.. you can use the old paper trick.. put a piece of paper between the gears.. to set it..

Is chassis flex a possiblity? Sometimes the torque of a bigger motor on the ST's twist the chassis under a load, and it boogers gear mesh.

Also check where the engine mounts to the motor mount. My XTM kept taking out spurrs and I found that where the engine bolts to the motor mount, it was loose, jutst a little bit, enough to cause the angle of the engine to move under a load.

Not where it bolts to the chassis, but the actual engine to motor mount bolts.

I am wondering if it's just a common vibration thing, or we're over tightening.
