I went to adjust the shift point on my Maxx today and found that the shaft on the front of the tranny won't turn freely like it did yesterday. It turns when I turn the spur gear but won't turn independently of it. Any idea what happened or how to fix this? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance.

you might want to open the tranny some times rocks and crap get inside and lock things up also the gears could have mashed teeth and cause binding.

Might be time to remove the tranny (like Tarant suggests) and look inside. You might have a backed out grub screw, a clutch that is stuck, busted teeth on gears, or some other foreign object causing the binding.

Thanks guys. I tore it apart today and it was the shift point adjustment screw. It had backed it's way out and jammed the hub. Got it fixed now though
