The new generation 2B.M.I. Racing Chassis is $185 I believe.

Now keep in mind, the B.M.I. chassis easily out performs it's competition like the Hardcore chassis for example in rigidity & weight, and does not require a radio/top plate. The radio plate you are talking about is around $40 and the Hardcore chassis is around $150. So the price is about the same in the end.

The B.M.I. chassis has a lower center of gravity than any other NTC3 chassis out there.

One of the RC car mags are doing a test on it as we speak. Should be interesting to see what they have to say.

I have 3 TRINITY Reflexes and a Team Magic G4, meaning I am a true belt lover, and I just bought a NTC3 and one of the B.M.I. Chassis to test myself. The 3 fastest cars at my LHS speedway are B.M.I. equipped Nitro TC3s. If ya can't beat them, join them I always say!!!

Well I knew that the price was high but WTF! ? That chassis may be the one but last I checked the NTC3 is a top rated ride without that chassis. I don't know many bashers or even racers that would spend for a chassis that expensive! My friends have really good cars and they do really well! BTW what would happen if they bent the chassis? How durable is it? are there any requirements? Does having this change the way a NTC3 is? Does it alter performance?

First off, how do you consider that it's "SO" expensive? 185 bones for a CNC machined billet chassis that fixes the few remaining issues with the NTC3 is not that costly if you are into winning races.
The difference in chassis' performance is amazing. The biggest gripe any NTC3 driver has, when he has big horsepower on board, is chassis flex which causes a driveability issue called torque steer. Torque steer in it's simplest form is the car darting to the left on power and returning back to the right when the throttle is chopped. Most serious NTC3 drivers buy the Hardcore chassis & carbon radio plate and other chassis stiffening parts. The B.M.I. chassis eliminates torque steer due to it's longitudinal rigidity. The B.M.I. chassis also lowers the center of gravity.

As far as bending the B.M.I. chassis and it's durability, if you can bend this chassis you will have had such a massive impact that you will not have a single component on the car that is salvagable! The chassis is made of billet aluminum.

The only requirement is that you are looking for the best possible performance from the Nitro TC3! Several of my areas local top nitro guys are running this chassis and have nothing but positive things to say. This chassis has been run back to back on our local track with a stock chassis NTC3 with identical set-ups, tires, engines & radios and the B.M.I. chassis car is better by over a second a lap. That is NOT an outrageous claim, it's a true back to back comparison by the average weekend warrior types, not the Joel Johnsons, the Brain Kinwalds, The Barry Bakers who could drive a box with wheels on it and still win.

Let me say that I don't have a thing to do with the B.M.I. chassis either. I don't make money off selling them and I have no interest or investment in them other than the fact I am blown away by them. I am the guy at your LHS that will run a different type of car than everyone else just to be different, I swore up and down I'd never have a Nitro TC3 because EVERYONE has one. Well I bought one, and a B.M.I. chassis to go with it. The only cars I get beat by week in and week out are B.M.I. chassis equipped Nitro TC3s!

I know 185 bones sounds like alot, but I sit here and come up with new innovative set-ups during the week, I buy the biggest horsepower I can get in my G4 or Reflexes, I try 10 different shock/spring combos, I run every type of tire there is on the market, I still get beat by the B.M.I. Chassis NTC3. I spend more in experimenting, motor combinations, exotic parts and time, than 4 B.M.I. chassis would cost me!

Well don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind having it but the whole problem is that most of the dirvers that come here are not racers ..yet so they want to get the most out of their money. Your pitch sounds good but the common folk want to try the known upgrades that are known to work. I am glad to know there are more aftermarket parts that are available. Thanks for the heads up!

I see what you are saying. I just assume (yeah, yeah I know!) that everyone races their cars. I personally cannot have nearly as much fun just bashing around. Especially when tires are $40 a set and a good motor costs over $200.

I never thought that most on here were just play drivers, I really didn't. I see alot of threads regarding set up issues, handling problems, engine tuning, etc and I just assumed these were primarily racers.

Thanks for the heads up yourself!

No racer here.......lol...just a parking lot basher, but, I do thoroughly enjoy beating the pants off my buds.........:whack: Like Jon said though, that chassis is a bit pricey,(for me) if I was a "racer" on the other hand, I would want every edge that I could get on my competition to win. I know I need it.......LOL.....Thanks for the info on it though, more knowledge is good for the mind......hehe:thumbup:

I have one of the few BMI Chassis in Australia & it is a must have
if you want to win races. To just bash any carbon fibre/Alloy poop is a waste af cash, better spent on Tyres, Fuel & Plugs. If you decide to race you can't go past "the chassis" $185.00 straight up for the best is cheaper than screwing around with some of the other stuff that doesn't work as well. I almost forgot, one upgrade worthwhile getting for bashing is, "the fix" also by BMI (No I dont work for them either) it makes it much harder to break a shock tower or diff case in a hard crash. At $20.00 for a set to do front & rear it is a bargain. Other than theese 2 parts the NTC3 is awsome out of the box (in kit trim)

Glad to hear you are doing well with the BMI chassis. I keep getting spanked every week by one! 2 weekends in a row and two more second places in the A!

I will be working on a new website for Breiner Machine and BMI Racing and I will be helping their internet sales. I had a discussion with Jason Breiner, the owner of BMI Racing, and he is looking to answer a few of the questions some potential buyers have for the BMI Chassis.

First of all, since I talk about the BMI pretty regularly I get asked all the time about getting "The Chassis" in colors. Colors will be available on a limited basis in the very near future. The problem with doing colors is it is a fixed price to anodize a single chassis or do 20 of them at once from what I understand. Doing one will cost $75, doing a lot of them and the cost per piece drops to about $7 per chassis. If the demand continues to fro for "The Chassis" in colors, we may be offering the BMI chassis in several colors very soon.

Secondly, I get asked about milling a persons name in the chassis, and on the battery hold down. This service is available.
There is a small set-up fee for custom milling and a nominal fee on a per letter basis for custom slogans, names, etc.

If you intend on buying a BMI "Chassis" for the NTC3 and you want colors and/or a custom name on the chassis, feel free to email me and I can get you an accurate estimate on the price for you.
