I have an oldish off roader and can any one tell me what the large hub looking thing that the spur gear is fitted to is called and can i still get this part

Not with that vague of a description! Come on dude, think before you type! We are not psychic. I'll be glad to help....If you do not know what it is, pics will have to be posted.

Is it your slipper plate maybe? If not, it could be your digital dual-humbuck-circumciser. Which if it is, be careful because if it is not properly calibrated it could very well be more than just a nip off the tip. But seriously...what kind of car is it? Pictures also help too.

i can't send pics, but if its any help them car is a Kyosho stadium truck about 15 years old and the part i need is the drum type thing that goes on the side of the diff and holds the large 55 tooth spur gear on

Cmon dude, no need to be so nasty, think before you type!

Afterburner, your best bet would be to post some pics. I am sure we could help ya with some more info.

Figure out what model you have and hit the fleabay. You'll be amazed at what you can find there. Might have to pay out the rear for it.

Does it look like this?
