Help my shock wont stop leaking

ok well i bent my shock shaft so went out and got a new one put it in used it but the thing wont stop leaking out of the threads at the top and the diaphram is in perfect condition it even leaks when i take the shock out and push it up and down with my hands what the hells the problem??

I have no idea but if you can't find the proublem just buy a new one.

Try using plumbers teflon tape on the threads. I use it here and there for sealing and as an alternative to thread lock.

If your using the stock shocks there is a possibility that the plastic cap has a crack in it. Try using a cap from another shock. If it quits leaking you know the cap is shot. If it continues to leak you now know the shock body is damaged.

Could it also be the rubber seal that is in the cap that could be damaged. Just a thought.
