I would remove the tire inserts; they seem to be pretty firm.
i agree 100% but i can't figure out what kind to get, so they like most of my crawlers sit o n stock foams, i have 1 with injora silicone inserts, but they get expensive lol, may need to check into this just because, let a lone just for the steep ridiculous challenge
Grind the top inch off the step?
i ran 3 other crawlers on same spot for next i dunno 40 mins??? gimme time I'm sure ill grind it down lol
As much as I love my Wraith, they just aren't the best at all out climbing/crawling. They're kind of a jack of all trades, master of none.
What's your axle setup? Overdrive/Underdrive? I bet a comp rig would walk right up that.
i agree but it looks like its soooo close to geting over!!! i love the wraith on the trail but she doesn't do as wel on some obstacles,
Toss you shoe on the step.

cheater!! (i ended up using the winch lololol)

theres the first thing i wanna change , i am looking for an overdrive gear for the ar60 as this i think will help a lot, as well as some more weight n my front

they are the stock foams sadly, i have too many tastes to swap out for all silicones, thats like 10 sets of inserts
Grind the top inch off the step?
i ran the ecto, redcat, and cross 6x6 all on same step immediately afterwards lol, I'm sure i ground it down somewhat already, more to come!
Nice looking truck!!
A piece of cheater 2x4 or even a few rocks on the lower step would help the truck out a lot.
The break over point where the front axle will drop and the wheels will bite again is a ways off.
It reminds me of watching Optics out on the rocks or comp courses. They just don't have the geometry and they spend a lot of time on their belly/links.
its so steep the front tire wont bite, i can climb it now problem with basically anything to give it that boos but i wanna do it without the boost lol, ( dont mind failing 100 times)
I haven't messed wiht any buggies. But crawling is my jam.
Looks like that's set up more as a rock bouncer?
Most crawlers I have seen that can make that climb like that have crazy clearance, especially in the rear. Hard to tell from that angle but it looks like the rear links could be hitting the step. Maybe not.
But that front end needs to be able to get a little more weight down on top of the step to get more bite.
Maybe I am completely wrong, too, LOL.
I don't currently have any builds that are capable of that as it really isn't my thing, I like more of a scale look than extreme performance.
the rear railing arms are for sure grabbing it yeah
i roll trucks too often for scale stuff, I've tried but I'm too reckless i spend too much time tracking things down after a rollover lol,
i agree 100% about needing slightly more weight in the front, to pull and help the front to plant better, so if you're wrong we BOTH wrong lol
@Tallbump
I think you're on the right track, I could see the same thing. Look at the clearance in this comp truck;

You can also see how low and forward every is.
yeah thats not a thing available for the wrait as far as i know, it uses rear trailing arms, and they drag no matter what i go over it seems
I told him something similar in the YouTube comments. With the current WB and skid, more throttle is the only hope! lol
i hear ya, i hear ya, lol this is the first time I've ever TRIED go cawl up a ridiculous obstacle WITHOUT a little wheel speed lol, I'm positive i can hop right up it from a few angles, but seeing it almost get it just gives me the hope that i can get that front to lower a little bit, or bet that back to bite a little sooner, probly not gonna work, but its been fun trying
So his question besides throttling out.
What could be done?
Fab some high clearance link?
Rotate the axle so the drive shaft gets some clearance?
So theoretically, if we get it closer does that get it up and over?
my man, thats what I'm asking amen, it looks like if i can hit the right angle it would almost try it, sadly I'm unaware of links like that for the wraith, the driveshafts are clearing fine tho they are tucked up beneath the trailing arm
Personally, I would just stop driving it on stairs.
Stretching the rear with high-clearance links would probably be the ticket. It needs to teeter-totter such a small amount to get the right amount of contact on those tires.
Unlocking articulation with some longer shocks would help too.
this is how you look to me right now.... lololol love you bro lol
I said something similar in my first post but decided to edit my comment.
Well he has a game plan if he wants to move forward.
