ok so i started working on the rs4 3+evo and i put fuel in the carb and tried to start it and fuel started coming out the bottom of the engine. you think its blow up??

I don't understand why you got them just because he said they were running 'yesterday' and they were tuned.
They were not.
If they were, he would have started them for you. Next time you'll be more cautious.

the rs4 3+evo had a blown engine. took it off and had a 2cm hole in the side but the drift cars engine is still good

Make sure your glow plug igniter is fully charged and your glow plug is lighting up good..

Are you priming it?? i always hold my finger over the exhaust and turn it over a few times then try starting it again after that

There is no need to take it to a shop to get fixed there is plenty of info on here just try searching thats what i did and i know more now then i probably should lol

Also have your glow plug in and trying turning your flywheel by hand to see if it has good compression

Well HPI has an engine trade in program so you could send your old engine in and get the new one cheaper so thats something i would look into! Its not that big a deal having to replace the motor at least it would have a new fresh motor

Don't take this personal but a sucker is born every day.Live and learn:whhooo:

Always bring your own nitro field equipment with you when buying used stuff locally so that you can start them and verify everything works.... Never fall for the "I don't have fuel, a glow plug, a charged ignitor, etc" line. That just means "I hope your a newb and take my word for it so I can get this money out of you and disappear in to the shadows".

dang got problems, well pour a little gas right into the carb and try to start it, if it doesn't start, put your finger ove the exhaust to create pressure in the cylinder, from there if it dont sound like its goin to turn over, either your glow plug is crapped out, or u need 25% nitro, because i know for a fact that hpi rs4 evo 3 runs better and cleaner with 25% nitro than 20, because i own one. if you want to try something else, turn the flywheel so its at bdc "bottom dead center" you do this by turning the flywheel till it gets very stiff keep turning and you will hear a sucking sound inside the engine when you hear this the piston should be at the bottom.
