I have the exact same truck but mine was a Kit version. Personally I hate the roto start. You have to pack the damn starter around when you want to run the truck. If I were you I would slap on a pull starter. as for the actual problem is sounds like you are doing something when you install it.

my was a kit form personley i rather build my truck thats half the fun right??? And after 10 years working on out door power equ i would think i cover all my basics when i put it back in see why this little problem could drive a me to drink

sounds like the one way, they can "look" ok, and grag decent when you have them in your hand, but the starter puts alot more pressure on it and it could slip then, make sure you clean it and the shaft really well. if it wont grab replace it.

You could try backing out your glow plug 1/4 turn while starting it, then tighten it back up once it's running. This is a common practice during break-in to relieve some of the compression of a tight engine. It may help in your situation as well.

In the end, you will more than likely need a new OWB. It's also highly recommend that you replace the shaft the OWB spins on as it wears just like the bearing does. So, even with a new bearing, it may start slipping more quickly than it should if you run it on an old starter shaft.

ok ill try thies things out i did for get to say it was a brand new engan from hpi a replacement for the one the blew a barreing. but i will look at it thank you guys :bunny:
