Hello all...

I've been absent for a while messing with my bigger toy (my 87 pathfinder) and havent had a lot of time to play with my stampedes after getting them put together and up and (sorta) running...

I really wanted a Tmaxx previously and should have got it instead of the pedes but I just recently nabbed one off of ebay that I once again will build up from the ground up but being a n00b I would like some help IDing the roller I purchased...attached are some images...

Thanks in advance

It's a 2.5 maxx with a new era 3 point roll bar, RPM arms, RPM shock towers and possibly RPM center skid. Looks like an aluminum brace for the front bulks and an after market front skid.

It's missing the trans and front body mount posts, reverse servo/linkage and the obvious engine/pipe/header. Possibly also missing center axles.

The RPM parts add up to about $72 and the roll bar is another $40.

I couldn't find just standard replacement RPM body mounts. All I could find were the long ones:

sweet, you guys are great...b/c I pulled this off just like I did my pedes and got another truck with extra parts that I believe I can make work with or without mods...so if all goes as planned I can have 2 maxx's for under $300...the gf is going to kill me...

anywho heres the other truck/parts I got:

Damn yo....but you will have fun with them so just get her a toy too and everyones happy.....but I don't know if you can get nitro or lipos for HER toy.....lol

Well I let her play with the one pede that I got running consistently and she crashed it 3 times and broke the front shock tower 2 times and didn't want to play anymore b/c she thought she was destroying it...I didn't care I thought it was funny...

I think I'm going to have to get her an onroad nitro with an older body styled integra body since that was her 1st car which she just recently sold...I can't wait to get these bad boys and go out and tear up the desert

The second one you posted is an early Pro 15 model. Unless it has the pro-line wide maxx conversion done to it, the arms, and turnbuckles wont swap out from truck to truck. The 2.5 maxx had a wider stance from the factory, the rest however is all interchangable.

Thanks for the input...All I really need from the 2nd trucks "extra parts" are the tranny and engine and get the right center shafts...

well I have 2.5 on my pede...so if it is I can just swap that over...I'll see what happens...my other pede has a duratrax .12 (or is it .15) on it and it was pretty straight fwd just had to fab up the spur gear and make some adjustments on the traxxas motor mounts

Got both packages today...The max fired right up...but I had some issues with the receiver and had to chase the truck across the yard after I had "killed" the engine but it still had enough inertia to start back up...so it climbed over the dana44 layin in the garage floor and made it halfway across the yard b4 getting stuck on the tree...

thats what I get for trying to start it up without the radios working to check the engine...I swapped out the receiver and it seems to work fine now but I need to fix the steering servo attachment b/c it slips...tomorrow I'm going to try and mount the other engine and tranny and see if I can't get that roller going
