My son bought a Revo with a .26, but I have been unable to find the make. On the cooling head it has "JL Sport M26SS" on the block it has "26" and a "C" under that. I was told it's an HPI by the seller but I have been unable to find that model.

Can you post a pic? I think it may be a Losi, the M26SS from an Aftershock. Does it look like this?

That's it!!! Thank you!!!

I'm having a hard time starting it. It does run, but usually it takes awhile to start it and then if it dies I can't get it started again. I replaced the fuel lines and gasket in the fuel cap. I removed the glow plug and spun the motor and there's no resistance at TDC. WIth the glowplug in I have compression.

There isnt gonna be any resistance with plug out. To check compression leave it in and turn flywheel by hand. You should feel resistance at tdc while turning. It may just be a tuning problem. If all else fails set all needles back to factory breakin settings and start your performance tune all over. Maybe even stick a fresh glow plug in too. You can use the tuning chart in the NITRO RC TALK forum.

If it runs fine when you get it started and when it gets up to running temps then stalls and wont start again what is happening is at higher temps you are loosing compression and if the engine wont start till it cools down this is a sign of a worn sleeve and piston. You can have the sleeve repinched which I'm not a believer of or you can buy a new sleeve and piston kit and rebuild it. Or spend a few more $$$ and get a new engine all together.

It seems to be pretty tight at TDC so I'm hoping it's a tuning issue. If not, I'll go with a fresh engine.

Dragon, while trying to start I noticed fuel spitting out between the head and block. I pulled the head and the head gasket (shim) looks pretty worn. Going to replace it next week, I hope this is some of my problem. The piston and bottom of the head is black.
