I'm going to be buying a new nitro this week, and having a hard time deciding what to get.

I'm a Losi guy, and plan to keep it in the family.

I currently run a nice LST2 and it's a hardcore bashing machine.

I am thinking about possibly getting in to some track racing, but on a friendly level not super competitive. Otherwise I just want a good fast as hell nitro that's on/off road capable.

My two choices are the Ten-T or the Speed-NT. I like the Ten-T because it's 4wd and comes with the DX3S system, the part that I don't like is that it's only got a 1 speed transmission so I don't know how quick it's capable of being (I'd like something that can keep up with a Revo 3.3). The Speed-NT is awesome because it's rip nasty fast, and just looks fun as hell to drive and it's $100 less than the Ten-T, but doesn't come with the DX3S. However the Speed-NT isn't really a track or race buggy, but it's still awesome and I still want it, hehe.

What to do?

Speed-NT is a pavement/flat dirt truck, and that's about it. It's wicked fast, I have one. I would recommend the Ten-T if you want to try racing, the Speed-NT just won't cut it on the track.

And btw, the SNT radio is a Spektrum, so it can be bound to a DX radio.

The Ten-T is a great little rig, but most tracks don't have a class for them so you have to run against the 1/8th scale Truggies.

That's my dilemma I don't know whether or not I want brute speed or want a more general purpose 4x4.... The Ten-T looks wicked.

What's the approx. top speed of a Ten-T w/ 30%?

the ten t will smoke a stock revo or tmax its a good fast truck and with 20% it will run about 65

Lol, yea right. RC Car Action clocked it at 45mph. I'd say no more than 55mph on 30%. It's not going to do 65mph without some serious mods, such us dumping the weight from the ROSS, and some major gearing changes. The Speed-NT is made to do 65mph stock, and that's with hardly any weight, and a two-speed transmission. With the 4wd of the Ten-T, you're adding weight and resistance.

Maybe it's faster than a Revo or Maxx, I don't know, but the only way that truck is doing 65mph without serious mods, is in your trunk on the highway.
