Hello everyone sorry I haven't posted anything in a while but life has been busy. To everyone who helped me or gave me advice on my nitro plane I got for my grandfather I wanted to say thank you so very much. Unfortunately I was unable to get it running before my grandfather passed away on the 26th of October. I just got the engine rebuilt and running the day before he passed. I'm still working on it and just about done looking for a little bit bigger engine then the os max FP 40 I have once everything settles down I'll post pictures of the complete build. My grandfather really wanted to see his other one fly rather the Cessna I started but I need help figuring out what type rc plane it is and what all I need to get for it to get it in the air. If anyone knows what I have I would love to know closest I can find is the F7F Tigercat or maybe a warbird I'm not sure. If you have any information on it that would be awesome. And thank you to everyone again for the help and awesome advice.

Sorry for your loss!
I think your Grandfather will be quite hqppy knowing that you are continuing his passion!
I don't know much about flying planes, I won't be much help getting you off the ground. I love this story though and I'm gonna follow it.
You have some beautiful planes there! 😍

Good luck! You'll get it! 😎😁👍

Thank you. Yeah he always wants to get into it so when he went on hospice care about year ago he told me that so I looked around to see what I could find for him, I found the Cessna-128 that big green one I think is a F7F Tigercat or warbird something not really sure and helicopter for 650 bucks with 5 boxes of spare parts all the remotes. Felt it wasn't a bad deal for what all I got. And Honestly neither of us knew anything about flying RC nitro planes. But I buckled down got on here asked loads of questions did tons of research and learning everything I could be for his time. Unfortunately I just wasn't able to get it flying but I did get the engine running the day before he passed away. I was hoping he'd make the night and at least get to hear it run. But not giving up on it. Once I get the last little bit done on the body make sure all the servo are hooked up and working right and get a little bit bigger engine I have os max FP 40 the Cessna we were working on needs a .46-.55 engine to be able to fly properly. The 40 will work but will have a really hard time try to get it off the ground. But when it's done I'll take it to his resting place and fly it for him.

Sweet that's one thing I know for sure now. Do know anything about this model or know anyone that might. This was my grandfather favorite one out of all the ones I got for him. I started with the smaller Cessna thinking it would be easier learning that one before jumping into the much larger and more difficult one. And From what I was looking at most of the newer ones are electric only. I could not find hardly anything talking about the nitro version I'm pretty sure this one was built for nitro engines going by how heavy it is made from wood and fiberglass or something like it almost looks like harden cardboard where the engines go. The other thing that's thrown me for a loop is that most of the manuals or blueprints I found for this type of plane each wing only has one flap mine has two flaps per wing. I've learned a lot in this last mouth and half but not enough to start that one yet. If you know anything else about this model I'm all ears and ready to learn. And thank you for helping confirm what type plane it was. Now is the warbird the same as the Tigercat or is it still the same just with additional add-on built-in or is it a completely different thing all together.

Also in the blueprint you showed it shows the wings being able to fold up. The wings on mine are solid and don't fold like in the picture. Also each of my wings have three flaps most of the ones I've looked up only have one large flap per wing maybe two.

Unfortunately, I don't have any info on your model. I didn't get into RC's until everything was electric. I'll look around.

That's cool I thank you for what information you did give. That one's going to be a big project. What little I have managed to dig up on that plane is that I need a special servo that will run two engines at the same time. I'm still trying to find out what size engine it takes to get that beast off the ground and fly right. I can see why it on the expert level. If you happen to come a cross any more information about it send it my way I'm always up for learning something new. And again thank you for the help. My grandfather would be smiling big right now if he knew I was working on this one. He really love that one. I just wish I started with that one instead of the Cessna. But that one had had everything other then few repairs to do, or so I thought you can't buy part for that model Cessna anymore stopped making parts for it few years ago. So I had to order the closest compatible build kit to either try to use those parts and attempt trying to make them work and it fails in flight or works or I can play it safe And just build this kit and use some of the old parts off the vintage one and use whats able on the new one so that's what I'm doing now. I'll send pictures when it's finished still looking for a .46 or a .55 engine size there not cheap

Do you know what scale this is? or have dimensions? @tudordewolf is better at these types of aircraft than I am. @Dominator also seems to have a good grasp of these.
