not that fuel has to do with my problem just an estimation of time. within 2 gals of gas i have had to replace the 42 and 10 tooth bevel gears in my ft and rear diffs, why? is this normal? or is there a problem? that kind of gets expensive parts are 35.00 per diff. thanks for your help.

It could be normal. Was the ride new when you got it? If so, it is possible that those particular gears are weak in your ride...or that you got a bad batch. Some new RCs do not have the best diff gears and a powerful engine ends up damaging the drive train.
If you were not tormenting the RC, ie driving in high grass, thick mud, etc., then odds are you simply have a new RC with weak diffs. Happens.
Buy replacement gears, build up the diffs, look for upgrades to come out or mods to be posted that might prevent this from happening again. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nitro RC.

If you are replacing the crown gear, I would check your shimming on the diffs. THose don't go out that often. Are you adding any shims? Are ou adding wrong diff fluids? too light of a fluid or using wrong grease can wear your diffs out..FAST.
