All you need to do is use zip ties and fuel line tubing. Run the zip tie through the fuel line and then wrap it around the head of the engine - good to go!

thanx woodie.. i'll buy some tubing and give it a go.

You're most welcome. I was looking for a picture in the gallery but of course I can't find it now, it was a little much bit at least it gave you the idea.

If you view the .21 cold intake mod you can see my .21 engine with the similar setup but w/o the fuel lines.

so i just wrap it under the 1st fin ... seems a lil fiddly but i'll give it a go.. thanx for the pik and ur help.. i gotta get the tube, i already have the ties.

Yes just run the zip ties through the first or second fin and you'll be golden.

The key is to make sure the zipties or oriented so the head faces up. Then they absorb impact and gives you more material to grind away before damage occurs.

I found that putting fuel line on them just made them more grabby and prone to break the zipties whey they make contact with the ground.

I don't see where the fuel line tubing comes in. Doesn't the heat from the engine melt the zipties? I am interested in this too as I have a new engine.

Well then how come I had one on my exhaust and they melted? Or does the exhuast pipe get hotter? It is the THS pipe BTW. I really would like to get this to protect my cooling head. Its so nice and new, with no scratches, maybe I can prolong that niceness.

Pipe can get a lot hotter as it doesn't dissipate the heat like the cooling head. My Fantom steel pipe would get really friggen hot and melt bodies and stuff. I have gotten blisters from sub-second contact with the pipe when picking up the truck and grazing the pipe. Although... Fantom's are steel.
