heat sink on traxxas velineon motor

today i used a friends 3s lipo in my slash with a jconcepts over tray and stock gearing. temps......
with overtray 165F esc 180F motor, it overheated
without 50F esc 65F motor (dont forget they were covered in snow hahaha)
i can't find a heat sink that would fit the velineon motor without modifications, at least one that mount directly onto the motor and not one that is a combination of a heat sink and a mounting plate. has anyone had any experience with putting heat sinks on these motors?
