But the header on the FE is a piece of junk IMO. The aluminum tube header is way better, give better airflow and lower CG i believe.
 
I don't know about the lower CG but yes, the air flow of a tubular header is smoother. There is no 90 degree bend that will promote turbulance.

maybe with the nitro 3 there might not be a night and day difference. But with the racer 2 (yeah, I went there) I installed a 15cv-r and the difference in muffler height between the cast alum header and the tubular header for OS engines was pretty noticable. But anywhoo all in all diver's right, the major benefit is less turbulance.
