I just mounted a Dynamite 053 side pipe to my Picco red dot and the header mounts at a slight angle. The motor runs great, but i'm concerned the gaskets will give and start leaking. (i am using Oomp's bb adaptor).

The header on the Dynamite pipe is u-bend and if it was longer (distance from header openings), it would fit flush against the motor. I'm wondering if a 2-bend header design, like the one on the Ofna pipe would reach out further. Like this one: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product.../2113/n/OFNA-053-Polished-Off-Road-Tuned-Pipe

Anyone know if the Ofna design fits better? I can buy the Ofna header alone. Or can you stretch the Dynamite header?

- thanks

Anyone? Any ideas? I'll even accept wise cracks. :)

While your waiting, run your rig and see if that gasket holds.:) Wish I could help. I'm surprised nobody's chimed in. They will.

Hey Matt, thanks. Yup, i'm running the truck for now. So far no leaks, but its running so good that i just want to make sure it stays that way.

I run a durtrax warhead header that I cut and lengthened a bit. YOu could do the same with your header. Cut it in the middle, flare the ends pretty good so the coupler won't be so likely to slip off, put a coupler on and a couple zipties. Then you have an adjustable header with even another spot to give vs bend the header.

Mine prior to the cut:

And after the cut:

This allowed me to move it over enough so there was a sufficient gap between the pipe and new era roll bar to let the body fit in between easily. I I had went a hair longer, the tire would have rubbed on the header. With the stock roll bar, I had room, but he NE roll bar ate up that room.

Olds - this is a brilliant idea. I guess this way i can make it any size i like. Well my pipe started leaking like mad. The exhauset gasket was shredded. But i think i had it bunched up when i first installed it. But the header not fitting properly didn't help matters.
