first i used the search feature and did not find a thread, So i need to ask
i need a BB pipe it can be rear exit or a side exit does not matter to me,
and i have alread been told i went over kill w/ the new mill

I have a revo and i am installing a LRP.30, a bit over kill but its what i wanted and i am an only child and get my way ...LOL JK

anyways like i stated i am in the process if install a LRP.30 in my revo
just waiting on funds for a new era mount and pipe(maybe header too if going the side pipe route...
SO what pipe do you guys recommend for a all around pipe?
The cheaper the better please help:D
and i have a center diff in the trans w/ rear brake kit, can i use it w/o any mods, or should i remove it and go with an standard FOC?

It can be either, depends on what you want to spend and how you want it to look.

Running a side pipe opens your options a bit on the pipe itself. But, it doesn't look that great, makes you have to hack the body up a bit and may rub on the tire.

RD Logics makes a BB rear exit pipe:

Trinity made one that was for both BB and SB, but I can't find it anymore. This one looks a lot like it:

I bought one off ebay and it sucks IMHO. Really kills power and is loud as hell.

New era makes a chopped up BB header that is relatively versatile for a rear exhaust:

Or, you can try getting the TRX BB header and try to fit smaller pipes on it:

I'm guessing your getting the new era leaner BB kit? If so, I highly suggest a better roll bar and a wing kit to help protect it.

In the end, I went with a side pipe setup. I bought a duratrax warhead header, cut it and used a hunk of reinforced silicone tube to lengthen it a hair and I'm currently running an HPI Polished savage pipe. I've been trying a few pipes to see which runs best with a used SH28 I recently acquired (that was in severe need of a trash can). Will probably pick up a dynamite 28 big red or just a mild 427/M26 off ebay next spring. I was running an XTM 24.7, but the OWB was giving me fits and I didn't feel like buying a new one knowing full well that the pinch was fading fast.

I've heard good things about THS pipes for the Revo. I personally use a Trinity on mine.

Ok here is some food for though...I have a LRP30 and just to let you know they are very finicky on pipes. The pipes I found the worked the best was a Jammin JP-2 and a ERCM Side bleed pipe. If you have a pipe that is too restrictive you WILL run like crap will be had to tune no power and will be a poop engine. MUST have a high flow pipe for this engine. I would give up on the rear exhaust I am not sure you will be able to find anything that will really meet your needs and give you anything close to performance.

Thanks guys, very helpful
i am tossing around the idea of the jp pipes at the moment, just found out a guy in my area have the same setup on his revo so we gonna meet up

I got the traxxas BB kit, but it will not allow me to run a pull/roto start on the revo, so i am trying to get the new era mount that way i dont have to buy a bump box.
I know its prob not a best pipe but atleast will be better than the stock SG pipe for the revo, but was was given a pipe off a savage k5.9, so i got to use it for a bit, been laid-off for over a month, so NO cash, hopefully that will all change as i got a call for a second interview for today...

I have ran the whole Jammin pipe line up on the LRP 30. The JP-1,2,3 & 4. The 1 and 4 I thought were the devil for this engine. The 3 was...eh...ok I guess but the JP-2 really woke the engine up. It was like a totally different engine. I have the ERCM side bleed and I have not fully tested it but looks to be really promising.

my LHS was showing me the jp-3 and recommended that one, bu tthey are almost $80, i really need t chop that down ALOT...lol
how well do you think the HPI side pipe off the K5.9 would do as a short term set up?

I have the RD on my revo. It's a sirio s27 mid block, with a bb size exhaust port. It really screams. Oh btw, overkill? Seriously? That's not even the word for it....;)

Well umm i am a addict, i can't keep anything stock.lol
it all started with a 69VW 1600cc stock, ended up w/ a 2300cc race motor
then off to a ford ranger 4cyc that ended up w/ a 602cid with a 8-71 BDS and hillbourn injection....lol

I have an RB TM323 installed in my Revo. The exhaust and header together are wider than the chassis. Would it be wise to shorten either the header or the exhaust?
