Well I finally got my Savage 25 up and running today after a year with not using it, I put fresh 20% nitro in it got new glow plug, got it running it idles fairly decent the one thing I have a problem with is that when I hit the brake forward on the trigger it dies, I tried adjusting the low speed needle and adjusted the servo but no luck it still dies any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Ok that means you need to adjust your high speed needle. Since it was in the summer the engine didn't need a lot of fuel to get warm and maintain heat. Now the engine needs more fuel to start so you need to adjust the high speed needle anti clockwise until it keeps running continuously.

Adjust in 1/8 turns

That's Mr. Nitro junky to you!

My savage did that to. when i got it i was new to tuning and all that, so i just turned the idle up on the remote, it worked haha, but its probly not the proper way to fix it

I can start it with no problems, and it idles ok, its just that when I move the trigger on the remote forward, like I'm hitting the brake, it stalls out, thats the problem I'm having otherwise shes good.

Sounds like your idle screw is not holding the carb open, pull your air filter and make sure the carb is not closing with the brakes applied. If it is, adjust the idle screw so the carb does not close all any further then it does at the idle position.

Turn the throttle trim on the radio ALL THE WAY DOWN, and hold the trigger in the brake position while adjusting the idle screw to the proper opening.
If you don't do it this way, hitting the brake will close the carb completely, causing it to shut off.

yes...+1 on this info.

ok Ill give it a try thanks for all your help Ill let you know thw outcome

You shouldn't really hold the brakes when twisting the screw, this can potentially damage the needle or barrel it rides in. Maybe twist the screw with the brakes off or even some throttle applied and then hit the brakes to see what gap you have and then repeat until you have the gap you are looking for. Just a suggestion.

mine did the same thing when i had first got it, i was an idiot and left it in reverse so it cut off when i hit the brake hehe.
